Companion Caretaker Supervisor – Full Time

Wage: $30,000-35,0000/year

All About Animals Pet Clinic in Mahomet, IL seeks a full-time Companion Caretaker Supervisor. The Companion Caretaker team provides care for our boarding patients and their families. We strive to be a “home away from home” for these cats and dogs. It is essential to create positive and close relationships with each of our clients and their pets. Our high standard of care recently earned us the title of the #1 Pet Boarding Facility in the Champaign-Urbana area!

In our clinic, maintaining a positive, cooperative, and the accountable team environment is critical when it comes to our goal of being a trusted clinic for our Mahomet. In addition to standard kennel duties, responsibilities include:

• Create employee schedules for the caretaker department that align with the needs of the hospital.
• Train, supervise, and assist the Companion Caretakers in their performance of a variety of service functions.
• Provide strong leadership and supervision to the Companion Caretakers.
• Make recommendations to management concerning personnel matters, disciplinary actions, and follow through.
• Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Conduct timely performance evaluations, mediate interpersonal problems, and address concerns from Companion Caretakers.
• Conduct monthly departmental meetings and schedule in-service meetings as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Preference will be given to candidates with small animal care experience or boarding/shelter caregiving experience. Prior supervisory experience required, as is a dedicated work ethic that allows work with little supervision. Also required:

• Organized and self-motivated
• Able to work independently
• Punctuality and time management
• High school diploma or equivalent

The ideal candidate is available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. A weekly base schedule will be established but will vary with seasonal changes, training new employees, and as coverage is needed. This is a full-time salaried position, ranging from $30,000-35,000/annually.

Companion Caretaker – Part Time or Full Time

Wage: $12.00/hr and up

All About Animals Pet Clinic is seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our team as a part-time or full-time Companion Caretaker. We are a veterinary clinic featuring luxury boarding and grooming located in Mahomet, IL that specializes in providing high quality, compassionate and convenient care for our patients and clients. We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals, and we see our clients and their pets as extended family. We feature luxury boarding suites, and an amazing team to care for pets.

This role is a great fit for students seeking hands-on experience, or a professional looking for a new side hustle. It can also be a great stepping stone to a future veterinary career.

The successful candidate:

• Has experience with dogs and cats
• Is focused on quality care and possesses a willingness to perform tasks in all necessary capacities – from providing care to cleaning
• Is willing to work weekends and holidays
• Stays enthusiastically on task without supervision
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance, walk and/or stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Demonstrates regular attendance and timeliness

The Companion Caretaker’s primary role will be to meet every need of our boarding pets. Duties will include:

• Leash-walk dogs
• Feed, water, and exercise all boarding pets
• Administer oral and topical medications to dogs and cats; may be trained to administer injectable medications
• Scoop waste and immediately clean up urine accidents
• Clean and sanitize boarding suites and other kennels
• Collection, processing, and distribution of laundry

A variety of shifts are available and include coverage for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
